The SKAO has a requirement for Quality Control Inspection Services in China. Providing China Quality Control Inspection Services: Quality Control Inspections: - Items to be inspected are large precision steel structures for the SKAO Telescope that are still in development. Review of Inspection Checklists, Inspection reports, and Parts Sign-off. - Verification of raw materials and components used. -Conduct onsite quality control checks during production. -Detailed inspection of parts prior to shipment to ensure they meet SKAO's specifications. -Dimensional checks to ensure parts are manufactured to the correct specifications. -Conduct loading inspections of products prior to shipment. Production Oversight: -Meetings with Production Managers to review parts documents. Review and approval of all raw materials and components used to produce parts. -Providing regular updates on the production status of parts. -Comprehensive reporting on any identified issues and their resolutions. -Monitoring Production and QA processes and managing QA documentation. Assisting SKAO staff with visits to suppliers in China. This requires the Supplier to have specialist Quality Control Inspection personnel located in China and available at short notice to fulfil site visits in China. Security clearance requirements require personnel who are Chinese nationals.
