According to this notice the expected publication date of the contract documents (note that this could change) is 2025-10-07

ESS is preparing to issue a tender for the design, manufacture and procurement of a 3He/4He Dilution Cryostat Insert (two identical examples). The Dilution Insert will be used for neutron scattering experiments with temperatures below 1 K on a wide range of instruments as part of the sample environment pool equipment. Each dilution insert will operate in conjunction with a top loading "wet" 4He-type cryostat or cryomagnet equipped with a variable temperature insert (VTI). The scope of delivery consists of: • Two systems of the dilution insert in the temperature range down to 50 mK. • Each system contains the dilution cryostat insert and the remotely controllable 3He gas handling system, including 2 LN2 cold traps. • 3He/4He mixture must be provided • All electronic devices for the measurement and control of the dilution stick temperature, 3He/4He gas handling parameters, and the environmental cryostat system shall be capable of remote operation. • Full documentation, drawings and source code. Delivery by 30 November 2026 or earlier.
