Market survey notice
SKAO are looking to appoint an External Auditor who can provide an audit of SKAO’s Financial Statements. The External Auditor will provide assurance to SKAO’s Members and its governance bodies and will conduct the audit in accordance with the relevant international standards and applicable law.
The contract will be awarded during 2026, with the first audit being undertaken for the financial year ending 31 December 2026. The contract will be effective for the audit for three financial years (FY2026, FY2027 & FY2028), with the option to extend for a further two financial years.
The auditors will be required to perform a tangible fixed asset verification at the telescope host sites in Australia and South Africa, which will cover both assets under construction and assets available for use.
The Audit Firm must have experience in performing audits internationally. This could be through membership in or affiliation with reputable international accounting networks with member firms capable of auditing the SKAO’s overseas operations in Perth, Australia and Cape Town, South Africa. The Audit Firm must have offices and relevant staff in both telescope host countries and the SKAO Global HQ, or be able to travel.
This procurement is limited to Tenderer’s that are based in a SKAO Member Country. .
